Ember 0.5.4 released

Ember version 0.5.4 has been released and is now available from the WorldForge download site.

Ember is a 3d client for the WorldForge project. It uses the Ogre 3d graphics library for presentation and CEGUI for its GUI system.

This release incorporates the results from the three Google Summer of Code projects. The entity creator is greatly expanded, with scripting functionality, there’s now proper support for terrain modifiers and there’s a working sound system in place.

We currently only provide precompiled packages for Linux, but will provide Windows and OSX packages in the near future.

Note that if you compile from source, you will need to install the content of ember-media-0.5.4.tar.bz2 to PREFIX/share/ember/media or use the “make releasemediarsync” make target.

If you compile Ogre yourself make sure to disable FreeImage (–disable-freeimage).
