LinuxTag summary

Greetings from Wiesbaden,
while LinuxTag will still go on for another 30 minutes, I’ll still use the free time to write a short summary of what was going on the last four days.

While wednesday and thursday were really slow, with just a few people around asking about our technology, things really changed on friday. I attribute this to the posters arriving, as well as more people having free time on friday afternoon.

Friday started with the posters arriving from the UK, which made the booth look way more interesting. Shortly after that reinforcement arrived, Lennart joined me at the booth.
We just got finished setting up things when we got our first real play tester, aged about 10. He immediately discovered all the loops and holes sear and mason currently have, and had a lot of fun setting things on fire and creating lots of items.

In the evening, Ragnar-GD arrived on the LinuxTag with a box he wanted a cyphesis set up on. We had some interesting discussions in the evening, but went to bed early to be fit for the much expected rush of people on saturday.

Which actually arrived. We finally got ember to work on one of the laptops, so we could show people all the joys of multiple clients. We chopped a lot of trees on black, raised poles and fought giant undead spiders, chicken and killer squirrels.

I think we managed to get a couple of people interested in WorldForge, so more web page hits are to be expected for the next few days.
As I spent the last couple of days talking to the Linux Audio people, I had a couple of offers for in game music, etc. let’s see what grows from that.

Over and out from Wiesbaden.
