The Sear 0.6.3 Windows installer has been re-uploaded to SourceForge as it was corrupt. This is marked as version 0.6.3.1. Please report any problems or bugs for any version of Sear on the Sear forums.

Sear 0.6.3 Released

Sear 0.6.3 has now been released. This version of Sear has a new method of representing character appearance based on clothing entities. It also fixes a crasher bug many users were reporting on Intel hardware. It also uses the newer Guichan 0.5.0 library.

I’ve just uploaded an updated Mac binary of Sear 0.6.2 to SourceForge. This should hopefully resolve some of the crashes people have experienced. In particular, re-sizing the window, and changing into / from fullscreen mode now works correctly. There has been a lot of activity on the Sear front since the last release. Most importantly, long standing rotation bugs have been fixed which now allows access to the buildings in the village and allows correct rendering of items such as a lit torch.

Sear 0.6.1 Release

Sear 0.6.1 is released. This release sees many improvements to the GUI components. The character creation dialog now has a list of playable character types. This fixes one of major issues with the previous release
